The game was in Warroad. Lane is from Thief River Falls so he was on the opposing team. Thankfully we were not beat up by any Warroad Fans for cheering for the wrong team. Grandma Patty and cousin Sybil work at the Warroad school so maybe we were protected from the hecklers for this fact.
Lane's fan club, ranging from great grandparent all the way down to little diaper wearing cousins. Everyone was well behaved and smiling.........for the picture anyway.
Andie had no more idea of what was happening than me, but was happy to find endless supplies of popcorn. With a group this large, there were popcorn containers left unattended more than once and she was able to get her hands on them. She also liked the loud music between plays. I'm hesitant to admit she tends to go for the heavy guitar laden stuff like her father. The louder the better for this girl.
Andie's owl hat is absolutely precious! I also love the snow tree picture. I have never seen it stick to a tree quite like that. Is that what happens when it gets beyond cold outside?
ReplyDeleteThat picture was taken by Jenny's iPhone. Crazy how clear those things are. I suppose it is the cold that makes the snow stay on the tree. In December we couldn't even make a snowman because the snow was too cold to stick together.
DeleteGlad you seemed to enjoy your first hockey game. Getting to go to a professional game will be fun too. The fighting and throwing guys against the glass really adds a lot to the game :-) We have a semi-pro team here in Sioux City, IA and the coolest game I went to was when I realized a player on the other team was actually a classmate of mine from Warroad!! It was pretty cool to get to watch him play again and to be able to say I went to school and church with him in elementary school (and to be completely honest, had a huge crush on him).
